Hello, my name is Whithedel, but you can also call me Ricky. I was born into a wealthy family in Haiti, where my father was a gynecologist and the spokesman for the president, and my mother ran a successful small business. My early years were filled with joy and innocence, untouched by the complexities of adult life. However, my family faced significant challenges during the political crisis of 2004, which led us to seek political asylum and move to the United States.

Adapting to life in the U.S. was challenging due to the language barrier and frequent relocations. After struggling with high school due to these issues, I earned my GED. I pursued higher education at Miami Dade College and Broward College, focusing on computer information systems and computer science. Despite financial difficulties preventing me from completing my degree, I remained determined until I succeeded and graduated.

My professional journey included various jobs, from a stint in a pyramid scheme to roles in auto repair and vehicle parts delivery, before transitioning to a sales consultant role in the automotive industry. Each experience taught me resilience and adaptability, qualities that have been invaluable in my career.

I have extended my knowledge by enrolling in a coding boot camp at Columbia University. This was a great decision that marked a significant improvement in my skills.

Today, I'm a senior Collibra Solutions Architect. I have worked with high-profile clients like T-Mobile, Wells Fargo, and DTCC, applying my skills in data governance, system architecture, and project management to enhance enterprise data systems.

And, I am proud to be a father and a husband, striving to blend my technical acumen with my personal experiences to create meaningful solutions. Despite the setbacks, my journey from Haiti to the tech industry reflects my resilience and commitment to growth and excellence.
